I would like to join like minded people for walking in the area. A bit like the Ramblers in UK.

We have just bought in SJLT and in throws of moving in but I would also be interested in a walking group. 

Once settled, I will investigate and keep you updated. I did see a walking group arrive back near where we are so sure there must be one. I here there are lots of things through La Venta restaurant (opposite Meson Pepsi) near the roundabout. We are based at Norival about 15 mins walk from there. There is also a gym near there which offers classes but I haven’t found yet. 

Keep me posted if you hear anything and I will do the same.

Thanks for responding Pamela, at the moment I'm not there permanently, am thinking about what to do in the future.     So at the moment only there periodically.    I will be in over from 27 Feb -8 March.    Perhaps we could have a chat?

We live in SJDLT as well. The best walking group we have found is the Mojacar Walking Group https://www.mojacarwalkinggroup.com.

They walk twice weekly from Sept to April and are mainly expats. They have no charges except a 1 euro donation to charity. Most walks start nearer to Mojacar and vary in length and difficulty.

Thank you very much, once sorted I can contact them. I also walked with a group at La Alfoquia who meet on Wednesday 10am at The Pool Bar, Kath usually leads. They vary and last about 2 hours with a coffee stop. It’s not over challenging depending on your fitness but they walk at a reasonable pace.
