Hello

I am buying an apartment in San Juan Apartments Tireno. Has anyone else bought one of these apartments. The bank selling them are being extraordinarily slow to accept my documents and I have bee waiting for a couple of months now. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem?

Many thanks

Val

Yes it took some time and they kept coming back to ask for additional random information. They only seem to meet once a week to make decisions. However it did all happen eventually.

Hi Val

Don't pull out

It's seems all of us have had the same experience

It took from September to May for ours to be sorted

I think the bank release a few at a time

Just hang in there

It will happen

Yes I hear they are making it bigger according to the Agents. I hope it gets finished soon. I know things are slow in Spain but it's so frustrating.  We wanted to have a holiday there this year but looks like it will be nearer to Christmas by the time the apartment is ready. I also need mould cleaned off the walls and treated and redecorated as there was a flood from the roof last year! It's in good position tho with the distant sea view. When we all get together eventually there will be some stories to tell!

Have a good weekend.

Val

Hi Val,

I echo what everyone else has said, it's just a slow system. If you are using Jose/Angelika via Grupoplatinum (GP) then put some pressure on them for dates of finalisation.

In the mean time, things that you could do.

Lighting -13 in total

# Leroy Merlin has a good range to choose from and have a web site for you to browse. (If you choose to not use GP options).

# Carrefour & Euronics - Aguilas has white goods and also a web site if you choose to purchase your own white goods.

# If you are banking with Banco Sabadell or any other bank ask them to order a bank card for you. It's not an automatic issue like uk. ( if you are banking with BS You will also need to collect from Mojacar).

# koala furniture is a good place to get furniture but you would need to see what's on offer because the web site is linked to Facebook and not great.

Obviously you are free to purchase good wherever  you like, I just wish I had been told some of this before to save footwork and time.

Good luck, hang tight and you will soon have your place in the sun.🌞

Ella & Ian No69.

Hi Ella and Ian Thank you for your reply with all the information that is really helpful. I am now worrying less now I've heard from a few people. I was going to use furniture express who do everything you can think of but not white goods. The package I want is €10k.I'm sure Koala would be cheaper tho but I found it hard to select from their website. Look forward to meeting you one day. Val no.. 66

Hi

We are number 47 and they do seem to want proof of every single detail which takes time. Hope you get there soon.. The sunshine will make it worth the effort.
