Hi.

We are In the processes of house hunting in San Juan, moving from Meddellin, would I be correct in thinking most things such as: nights out, household supplies and banking involve a drive to Aguilar if so what's the drive time to get there, in reality as opposed to Google maps reckoning.

Hi, I would say you are right in thinking that and you may have to drive to Lorca and or Vera. 10 min to Aguilas. But a lovely place to stay. We are on the golf course …. Beaches are beautiful .

Hope that helps a bit,

Christiana A

Ps: there is a lovely Irish pub too in Terreros

There’s a few options for household supplies here in San Juan, the EuroSpar is very well stocked plus another supermarket and now the petrol station which has a Carrefour outlet. Plus some independent shops and of course a couple of Chino shops. So you don’t need to go further afield unless you want to. Several restaurants and beach bars open in the summer months.

For banking, yes you’d have to go to another town although there is an atm.

Aguilas is no more than 10 minutes away.

That's great, thank you. It really helps when you hear it from a person rather than online.

Hi there

Household items dependant on what you need, Chinese bazaar, eurospar and supermarket.    Restaurants open all year round - bar a month of so in winter,  around 7-10 of them.   And aguilon bar.  All doing food drink etc and a number of chiringuitos around the village.  We visit regularly in winter and have never had a problem finding somewhere to eat, drink etc.   Pharmacy, medical centre, 2 supermarkets, and near antas, there is a number of large shops to buy furniture, electrical etc.   All easily accessible

Lots of lovely places to eat all year around and some great chiringuitos.  Many festivals in the summer months.  Quizzes and other groups.  Fitness sessions on the beach in the summer months and in the community centre (forgot it's proper name). Spanish lessons. Good range of quality foods in the supermarkets.  Can get pizza etc fro. The bakery when open.  Best beaches around.  Weekly market.  Aguilas fab also and less than 1O minutes away   Loads going on. We are in Los Lobos less than 10 minutes away and spend most of our time in Terreros.  Also cinema showing  English films in Aguilas.

That's great news, I've worked in Spain all over but judging from from Google maps one would never guess Terreros had so much going on.

Hi I currently live in San Juan and my house is for sale please get in touch if you would be interested in viewing it.   There are three small supermarkets in San Juan but I drive to Aguilas for the bigger supermarkets such as Mercadona it takes me about 10 minutes.  There are banks and post office and medical centres etc. there as well as in Pulpi which is 10 minutes in the opposite direction.  Please see my property on Grupo Platinum website.
