Hi, whilst I appreciate it’s in Murcia and not Almeria, has anyone visited the Medieval market in Caravaca in previous years?

As well as wanting to know if it’s worth the trip out, I’m particularly interested in knowing what the parking is like, do they lay on special parking and can you get reasonably close to where the market is held?

I’ve looked at the official tourist websites but can’t find anything to do with where to park so any info would be gratefully received.

Went a couple of years ago, certainly a brilliant atmosphere and plenty of stalls.  Car parking was available right at the start of the market entrance.  Probably better at night with torch fires burning etc.  It's quite a drive out, but I'd say worth the experience

Thanks Dario. Knowing there’s parking in close proximity is  very helpful and also that there are plenty of stalls and a good atmosphere. We will take a trip up there this weekend.

We took a trip up to market, would definitely recommend it. There was a great atmosphere, lots of stalls, plus great food.

The drive up to Caravaca was nice too, interesting to see the greener landscape with more trees and cereal type crops growing in the higher altitude.
