We have a brilliant Spanish chap who actually owns the plumbing/ electrical shop in Puerto Lumbreras. Only drawback he speaks no English; we use whatsapp and text/ e mail in Spanish. Totally professional and honest. Would never use any of the Brits advertising in Mojacar. They are in freepress and Almeria Focus Monthly free magazine (Iceland). That is so kind of you & we do try as over 15 years in the area we have been ripped off & defrauded so many times it's either embarrassing or laughable. In all cases, apart from 2 it has been Brits and we now avoid like the plague. Except, we have to say for our builder who is another nugget, like Domingo. We never hire coastal firms as we find them more expensive if nothing else. So Domingo- Puerto Lumbreras.  Richard from Tijola, awnings Costasol-Almeria, etc. Nil from local coastal strip. Richard once did 2 hrs carpentry at the apartment as part of a full 9hr day. The entire day was 90€. A Carpenter from Las Gallardos wanted 180€ just for the carpentry.

We live between the 2 properties but also have homes in UK, Australia & India as well as a motorhome here so our life involves a lot of travelling. Off to Croatia by road in August for 3-4 months.

However, if you are ever coming to Mojacar by all means get in touch and we can meet for coffee.
