Flies are driving us nuts. Does anyone have any tips?

I only got here mid week and they irritate the heck out of me. The only thing I've found that they don't like is deet based mosquito repellent. Non-deet based and they still land on me without stop.

Guys, I'm sorry but its part of life here. Fly screens on doors and windows are a must in the summer weather.

I'm in a rental with ornate bars on lower windows.  It doesn't even look like it's possible to add screens.

Hi Ruth,

Fly screens can be fitted to the windows between the bars without to much problem however if you in a rental you need to talk to the agent/owner first

I get red top fly catchers for the garden from Amazon and although they don't get rid of them, they do reduce them.  The solution attracts the females which means less laying eggs.  After a couple of weeks the bag was half full.  Our Spanish neighbours have also asked us to get some for them too.
