I honestly don’t know what your question is?

If you go to live in spain after June 30th . You now have to take the theory and practical driving test in spain . You have to have lessons before your test . The government are meant to be negotiating a reciprocal swap. As Spanish citizens who go to live in the uk can swap without the need to do any test ! 

Andy, don’t hold your breath.  Talks are “in progress”, but as yet nothing concrete has been arrived at.  I am prepared to say I’m wrong, but I really can’t see much progress on this until early 2022 at least.

I think you need to have been resident in Spain as well as registering your driving licence with the authorities here before 31st December 2020, then you have until 31st December 2021 to exchange your licence for a Spainish one. Other wise you will need to do the full Spainish driving test. Negotiations are on going but for now the UK is the same as any other non eu country so a theory and practical test must be done if you didn't register your licence here before 31st December 2020.

I did know this was the case . I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the reciprocal agreement ?
