Bank accounts in the uk

many of the banks and building societies are waiting for the final outcome of the Brexit deal to see if they can still allow funds from EU based clients to stay in the accounts and have the use of credit cards.   Some have already decided they will not and have informed expats in France and Spain that they will be closing their accounts down and they need to make alternative arrangements.  It is I believe because they need a licence to trade in the European money markets which some will not see as viable.  however, when the many expats who use UK banks and building societies start to remove their funds they may change their minds!
