We have been holidaying in Roquetas for over 30 years, usually at least once a year, not always for our main hol but we absolutely love the place.

Now that retirement beckons we were hoping to spend some of the winter in Roquetas, obviously because of the disaster of brexit things will be different post Dec 20 , but we were thinking of looking into coming over for the months of Jan and Feb to get away from the UK weather, can someone advise me how quiet Roquetas is at that time of year, are there many bars and restaurants open, is there any social life going on?

We were hoping to suss things out in either May or August this year, but that's not going to happen, and Oct look's like it may be a no no as well so we will be looking to do this in Jan/Feb 2022 after hopefully holidaying there next year

Thanks,

Ian

Hi Ian

The place is certainly quieter in the winter but there are still plenty of restaurants open, the cinema, the market, etc.Only a few hotels are still open, there is less traffic and footfall.

The best place for up to date information is on Facebook at the private group: Roquetas de Mar.
