Hi again. Sorry for the delay. I heard back from the owner of the apartment in Aguadulce, who tells me that he has sold the property, but reading other comments I think there are many other properties available nearer to the hospital.

They have short and long term property rentals in La Envia Golf and surrounding area which is very close to Almeria City. Worth asking if they have anything that would suit you!

That is true Alicia, but if you live in Albox it will take a very big slice out of your day go to and fro to Almeria, in an ambulance., possibly diverting to pick up others on your way - I certainly wouldn't like to do it myself for any more than a couple of days!
I my previous post I would like to amend what I wrote earlier about finding an apartment to rent in Almeria as there would be a shortage of short lets there and it certainly would be easier to find such a thing in Aguadulce or Roquetas. The cheapest of all would actually be a hotel or...

... hostal (bookings.com) near the hospital. Also there's a very reasonable hospital restaurant near the hotel entrance hall where they do a 3 course meal of the day, breakfasts etc.
i myself did it for 3 weeks it was a very interesting experience, the driving in particular! Although the pick ups were varied on a day to day basis on several days it was the same people so we had a little Spanglish conversations which passed the time on the journey.
Sorry to hear you have a problem but glad you can get the treatment you need. I live in the city a short bus ride from the hospital. Since I just have a one bedroom flat I can't help with accommodation I am afraid, but I can certainly be available for any other help or advice you may need.
