Hi Sharon
It's lovely to find someone else from Ireland! What part are you from? Have you been in Spain long? We were in Vera a couple of months ago, just for a ramble, it seems like a lovely place.

Hi Patricia
We have lived in Spain full time for 13 years.
We lived in Murcia and Cordoba previously.
We are just short of a year in Vera Playa.
I am from Wicklow in Ireland. We were told there are Irish here but they seem to be invisible ha ha.
We love it here beside the sea.

Hi Sharon,
yes Irish seem to be scarce here!, You must be very settled now given that you're here so long! Hopefully we will be able to say we're here that long in the future. I am originally from Dublin but have been away from big city life for almost 30 years, I lived in Tullow and Carlow for some time, not too far from your neck of the woods. We were living in Cork when we decided the damp weather wasn't good for our old bones! We are here now almost a year and a half, very much newbies but learning and finding things slowly. Spain is a very big country and we crisscrossed it a few times before we found where we decided to live, we are approximately 35 mins from the sea, we are happy here, we have a pool so visitors are happy enough with that. We had that many people visit last summer i felt like we were running a BNB! Hopefully this summer will be quieter.
It's wonderful being retired, sometimes I have to pinch myself , no stress Aaah lovely

Hi Patricia.
We only moved to Vera Playa last April and we had almost back to back visitors ha ha.
So it was hectic but wonderful. Our two dogs got lots of attention. Spain is a wonderful country. We have many Spanish friends around the country, Cadiz, Barcelona, Cordoba, Granada etc. They are a lovely warm, very passionate people. It was great to start out in the village and get to know real Spanish in a non tourist area. And of course the food is yummy.
Enjoy your new life. We don't know how we ever had time to work 🤣
Regards
Sharon
