Whilst we live near two marinas and among a multitude of boats, there is little organised sailing activity all year round.  So we have formed a group in Roquetas de Mar for those who love having fun on the water or by the water. You may own a boat and want to use it more, or aspire to crew on a boat or simply like being around boat people and the sea!

Maybe a few like minded individuals like me want to make this happen, even if you have never sailed before or owned a boat yourself. Sailing is one of the few healthy addictions in the world: fresh air, exercise, friendship and many great adventures.

You may be involved in sailing, kayaking, owning a boat, crewing, racing, cruising or simply like looking at boats and socialising with those around them. This will be a “virtual club” with no club house, very few rules, no membership fee and no bureaucracy.

Above all, this is an active and sociable group with events both onshore and offshore, some formally organised and others ad hoc. We would welcome members’ suggesting or creating their own events. The group will only be as good as its members, open to all – young, old, experienced or novice, residents or visitors, families or individuals – who will be united by a passion for getting together and sharing the fun of sailing on the wonderful Mediterranean.
