Hello Everyone. We have an apartment in Roquetas (Esbamar VI) and usually come over 2/3 times a year. We are hoping to get over next month. What's it like now with the Covid-19? Face masks in shops, walking along prom? Are the main bars and restaurants coping ok? Do you feel safe?  Regards Alan

Hi Alan. We know the Esbamar VI block and their pool is open 11am- 10pm and in regular use. Here in Roquetas all is fine, facemasks when outside are obligatory and also in Mercadona, Gran Plaza etc. No problem on the beach or in restaurants and bars. Fewer tourists around this year but still busier than in winter of course. Not all hotels have opened. Plenty of fun to be had, enjoy,

Chris

Cheers Chris. Sounds like nearly normal 🙂. Plenty of sun beds on beach? Just had our flights cancelled by Jet2.com. Ryanair still flying will wait to see what unfolds. Hopefully Jet2.com will start up again end of Sept.

Not sure which airport you were hoping to fly from with Jet2 but it looks like all their Almeria flights from both East Midlands and Birmingham are no longer flying for the rest of this year.  You can check by going on their website and trying to book any of them.  They do look as though they’re available,  but the computer says ..... NO.

Hiya Alan

We were due to fly out for week in Oct half-term from Birmingham but Jet2 have cancelled all flights with full refunds.  They're not operating again until next May 😩😩

Hi Lynn have you looked at using Ryanair? They are still flying to Almeria. We’re hoping to use them if the quarantine rule changes.

Hiya Alan

Many thanks for letting me know about Ryannair flights.  We may look into it, however, as we were due to come out in May, August and October, and Jet2 rearranged flights a few times then cancelled, we feel like writing this year off and, hopefully, start afresh next year.

Thanks, once again, for letting me know 😊

Regards

Lynn

Hi Alan

rWe also have an apartment in Roquetas & decided to still come out (in fact we are just on the last few days of our two week break) & know we will be in quarantine for the next two weeks. We are also booked in the October half term although we are flying to malaga then & driving here. We are so glad we went ahead & providing the flights are still operating will def be coming out in October. The bars are open (although only until 1am at the mo due to restrictions) & the area is a little quieter than usual. However providing you stick to the rules of masks etc when walking around it has been a great two weeks & we have no regrets. Both Ryan Air & EasyJet day they will continue flying & providing they do, we will be back this year.
Hope this helps

Thanks Lynne. I’m glad you are having a good time. If the quarantine rules change we will come over as long as we can get a flight. Cheers
