Hey all..

Visiting with family and a couple of friends in about 5 weeks.. so just wondered what we can expect, so we can be prepared?

1) The beaches open? And are the usual sunbed sections open? Is the watersports bit up and running?

2) Restaurants - they all open now? And the bards of course? (Coconut bar? Tropicana?)

3) Are they running all the fun electric scooters? Bike hires etc?

4) Is the cowboy place back open for visitors?

Anything else, as a tourist to do that may be of use for us knowing?

Not sure about the places you’ve mentioned - most beaches are open, but with very strict social distancing being enforced.  As a tourist, the following is something you will definitely need to know :-

It’s now official.  In Andalucia, as of midnight Tuesday 13th, the wearing of masks at all times whilst outside irrespective of distance from others is obligatory.  Fines of between 100€ and 6000€ (Yes, that’s six THOUSAND) are set for non-compliance.   In his speech, Presidente de la Junta de Andalucia, Juanma Moreno said “Despite the heat, difficulties and limitations, we have to get used to wearing the mask permanently”

There are no mentions of any exclusions for being on the beach or cycling or whatever - his speech consisted basically of what I have outlined above and exclusions to the wearing of masks was not mentioned at all.

Clearly whilst eating at a restaurant or drinking etc is an exclusion, but once you get up from the table, even if only to go to the toilet, a mask will be required.

Thats great thank you.

Similar thing that has happened here as well, we have to wear masks too.. :)

Its good safety measures are being taken for all.

(Will be funny the suntan lines though lol)

Could start a new trend - suntan lines so people can compare the size of their ... masks 🤣🤣

There are exclusions for the beach and sporting activities and for people with underlying respiratory conditions, autism, etc. The latter require the person to supply a doctor's note.

On beaches if you are swimming then obviously no mask. If you are sitting on the beach and can maintain 1.5m social distance then no mask required. But once you are walking, standing or running on the beach you do. The same criteria applies to communal pools.

People cycling, running, jogging etc are deemed as participating in social activities so do not have to wear a mask. Which is not that helpful for those walking along the paseo and wearing masks when huffing and puffing athletes power past them ...

Yes. Patrolled spasmodically by beach patrol people. Sunbed sections are up, but less of them evident. Aquapark is not running, I think - best check. The Aquarium is open. Mariopark is closed. The Gorilla looks sad with a facemark on!

2) Restaurants - they all open now? And the bards of course? (Coconut bar? Tropicana?)

Some have closed but most are open. And bars too.

3) Are they running all the fun electric scooters? Bike hires etc?

Yes.

4) Is the cowboy place back open for visitors?

Don't know - but I guess as long as they can socially distance they will be.

Good Luck.

Chris

sounds like it is all pretty much up and running then... I can imagine a little less busy though
