Spanish lessons are provided by the Roquetas Ayuntamiento in Roquetas and in Las Marinas. €25 per year.
Registration is this week - lessons start on 1 October.

The Aula A1 and A2 format is followed. Level tests will determine which level you should attend.

The Roquetas classes take place in the block in Avenido de Curro Romero, 46. This is opposite the bus station. As you go in there is a porter. Ask for Elisa.  She will help you to decide your level and the best classes for you. The classes may be morning or afternoon depending on your level.

The Las Marinas classes take place with profesora Mercedes in the block in Plaza Las Marinas. This is next to the church.
The classes are from 530pm and seem to be mixed A1/A2 levels.

Yes i think so, turn up at the offices opposite the bus station between 10am and 2pm. Ask for Elisa. She may be out between 11.15 and 12.

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know, my husband and I went today to register for Spanish lessons. The office is opposite the bus station, but if you look directly at the building there are two doors. You need to go into the first set of doors and ask at the reception desk for Elisa. Wow what a lovely lady, very up beat and friendly. There are different courses depending on your level of understanding and she advises you accordingly. You need to take your N.I.E number and Elisa fills out the relevant paperwork.  You are then given paperwork to take to one of several banks to pay your fee. €25 for eight month course. You need to retain the top half of the form and produce this the first day of your course so it enables Elisa to hand out your books. Lessons are Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting on 17th October. (That is for our level anyway, one up from basic Spanish) Not sure what dates are for beginner classes.  Got to say I am very excited to start as I have been looking to take lessons for a long time but could not find anywhere.

We commenced the Las Marinas classes this week. They take place four days each week from 5.30pm with profesora Miguel who is very enthusiastic and welcoming. Altogether we get 5.5 hrs tuition each week. There are eight in the class and five of us are English speaking but Miguel speaks only Spanish with us. Tuition is in the block in Plaza Las Marinas, next to the church.
