Hi,the busses from roquetas to almaria are regular, although I haven't used the buss from almaria to mojacar,I have looked and there only seems to be two or three a day,and the times aren't great for a day trip, hope it helps, the times are available on the alsa buss web site.

The 330/331 bus from Roquetas goes to Almeria Estación. Cost €2.

Not aware of buses from Almeria to Mojacar. The car journey from RdM to Mojacar is 75 mins so it’s maybe not practical for a day trip by bus.

Hi. I understand buses run every half hour from Roquetas to Almeria. Presumably the return journey is every half hour too?

Hi,the busses do come back every half an hour, but there is a  gap in the afternoon, from 3ish to 5 were they run hourly. The 5 fast the hour leaving roquetas normally goes to almaria via the motorway, which is quicker than the coastal road, coming back via the motorway seems to be anyone's guess,a Thursday in roquetas although they put on extra busses for market day can be a challenge, its a bit of a free for all to get a seat .

Many thanks. Do you know when they stop running from Almeria?

Your welcome,in the evening they run from almaria back to roquetas at least until 10,but last year summer time they put later busses on, there is a time table on the alsa web site. Per person ,one way to almaria is 2 euros ,the same back,in roquetas can go from one end of the area to the other for 1.35 per person. When I mentioned the 5 past the hour, that will depend on what part you staying, but its roughly the first buss past  the hour that goes auto via, motorway,I normally favour it because it can take a while if going along the coast. The cathedral in almaria is worth a look,ok its huge but very nice

Thank you so much for your speedy and comprehensive reply. I don't suppose you could recommend a car hire company in Roquetas which includes  full insurance in the price instead of an optional extra. We will use buses but having a car gives you more control over travelling.

Best regards
