I have an non-resident account  with unicaja.  At present I use mobile banking.  Just lately when I access my mobile account, the bank are requesting details of my telephone number, when I type this in they want my card number then 2 digits from my pin.  According to them, these procedures are all related to making my account more secure.  They is also a message saying that this process can be carried out in one of their branches.  I had something similar with my account in the ROI - which is similar to an non-resident account, but it did work.  Has anyone had a similar experience with their Spanish bank?

With Sabadell if you make a transaction via laptop/mobile banking they send a security code via your mobile. This is a better/safer system than any UK banking service.

I think that is the reason why the Unicaja want me to complete some information for my mobile banking, but they have never given me a Coordinate card (tarjeta de coordinates), which I need to complete the 3rd section.    When I am in Spain again in a few weeks time, I will call into one of their branches.  Just hoping that they don't block my account in the meantime as I pay bill's from it.

Regards
