Hi

We are looking to change banks. We are currently with Santander who are no longer local and we pay an extortionate amount of bank charges. Any recommendations of English speaking banks preferably in the Urbanisation.  Thanks in advance :)

Not sure who’s down that way, but Sabadell’s claim is they offer banking in your language.  also, with their Expansión account you get completely fee-free banking.

Thank you very much Dario. I will look them up and find out what they have to offer. Tracie

I've been with Sabadell for about 10 years.

Only called to branch max 10 times in that period but I spoke enough Spanish to be understood.  I don't  know if there are English speakers in the  branch at RDM. Statement and app in English.

If you pay €700 per month into the account  - you can take it out again the next day  - the account is free for routine electronic transactions such as standing orders and direct debits.

They will charge you €4 or more if you use a non-Sabadell ATM to withdraw cash.  They'll charge you 3% extra for purchases in non-euro such as sterling. You'll be charged €15 per quarter if you have a Sabadell credit card (plus interest if you don't clear it on time)

Good luck

I’ve been with Sabadell since 2014; don’t have a credit card, just the Sabadell Mastercard Debit card - since 2014 I have not paid 1 centimo in fees for anything at all - it’s a damn good account.

I live - and bank - in Vera.  In RQDM the only Sabadell I personally know is opposite the centro comercial from memory - but there will be others

Do you still have to pay €700 per month into the account?
