Is there a public centro salud and hospital in urbanization roquetas de mar

Hi Kathleen,

There is a 2  in the town of Roquetas where there is a lot of drs. They will assess and send in an ambulance to our district hospital if neccesary, or just for a general appointment. One is near the harbour, so if you are out for a meal or tapas and go there, you will find some English speaking people who can direct you.You will probably need to get registered, but treatment is free.

There is also a poli-clinic which is in Av Juan Carlos 1, down the av from the main road in centro Roquetas. They are open every day of the year including bank holidays. You do have to pay for an appointment, but I think they cover most depts of health there.

Our district hospital is on the way to Vera. It is called Levante. There are also a couple in Almeria city for especial  Health problems.

If the doctor says you have to go to hospital for something you can ask for transport to the hospital and a special Ambulance will collect you as well as others that have to go similar time. When you see the dr at the hospital, remember to mention you need transport back

to your home.They will drop you at the door. Free.

Thanks Ria, I have found that on the map. Can you tell me if a hospital referral would take us to the Hospital de Poniente, in El Ejido. Or would it be the Levante, on the way to Vera as Maureen suggested.

They would send you to El Ejido, El Poniente.
