Looking for recommendations where I can buy fabric, sewing accessories (left most of mine in the uk) and sewing patterns.

Anyone bought patterns here as they don’t seem to sell in the fabric shops?

I know I can order from Amazon but prefer not to

TIA

If the large outdoor markets are back on you can get the material there, not sure about a sewing machine.

Thanks for your response, I have a sewing machine just need a rotary cutter and few small bits and patterns which are proving difficult.

Lots of free patterns to download from the internet.  In Albox there is a warehouse shop for materials not sure about patterns.  There is a haberdashery in Garrucha high street bit far from Pulpi though.

I personally use charity shops to source patterns and materials to remodel stuff lots of tuition on You tube,

You could try Pinterest.  They might give you some basic patterns, or do what I did a long time ago - pick out your most favourite, most worn out top, unpick it and use that as a pattern.

We do go along to Garrucha regularly so will take a look.  I hadn’t thought about charity shops, good idea

hi go to

minervacrafts.com

they are in uk, have loads of fabrics of all kinds of material, and everything else you need, i have used them for years and recently bought a load of boxes of thread which arrived here in a week with no extra cost, in fact they will deliver here free when you spend a certain amount, sometimes it can take a couple of weeks to arrive but i have never had any problems and i have bought lots of material from them.

Hi

Thanks for your response, did you not have to pay any extra tax on the delivery? I had avoided ordering from the UK because of the potential extra cost

no extra costs at all, in fact i usually get free delivery because i get quite a lot of stuff in one go, especially material, no other charges are added to the bill and like i said i have had no problem with the delivery

Any of you keen sewers interested in earning a bit for altering some curtains  - I am in England so cannot do it myself, and have guests coming to Spain?
