We are currently interested in a property in Retamar, we have been advised that it does not have a Licence of First Occupancy, we are concerned as to the legality and to any ongoing foreseeable problems. Does any one living in the Retamar area of Partaloa have any imput to assist our decision.
Hi from Mojacar and 14 years in.Spain. Hearsay & conjecture are all well and good and may give guidance but shouldn't you be seeking a formal legal opinion with a REPUTABLE SOLICITOR? Maybe someone in that area can point you in the right direction. Friends of ours poured all they had, 250,000€ into a property that was finally judged illegal. They offloaded it for 110,000€ & ended up in a 1 bedroom apartment.
If you look through previous posts you will come on one from a couple coming out with a teenage son and they under retirement age and concerned about Healthcare. A fellow member posted a website you can access free and have a conversation. Perhaps this may be a good start.
