Hi there we are in the process of buying a property in palomares,we are looking to retire there in around two years,my question is regarding the proof of income,do you have to prove that you have €26000 per individual or per couple?
Others will tell you more, but as a couple it’s that figure for the first person then an additional €6000 (approx) for the second.
That’s assuming you’re third country national. TCN

Hi, does the money required need to be in the form of an income or could it be in the form of savings in a bank account? If in the form of savings, how many years would the savings need to cover? Hope this makes sense, Stewert.

Hi Stewart,
It just needs to be in your bank. As I understand it from the consulate in Edinburgh you need to be able to demonstrate that you have that amount available so it could be either income, savings or a combination of both.
