The same thing happened to me a few years ago. My car was collected from Vera Playa by a company who operated put of Malaga. It was a Dutch transport company that collected it. I took the name and registration number of the vehicle. After many phone calls and lie after lie from the guy in Malaga I reported it to the police in England via the fraud online system. I also contacted a helpline in the Hague as the transportation Co. was Dutch. They in turn contacted the owner of the transport company in Holland who informed them that the car had be handed over at the ferry port in Zeebrugge as arranged. This guy then disappeared with mine and another 3 vehicles. The cars were never found the guy in Malaga also went underground. Fortunately my insurance Company paid out.

If you know where it was going to be shipped from it would be worth finding out if was booked on a ferry. Contacting the police in that Country and also reporting it on the fraud online system. I was certain that because I had contacted as many authorities as possible this helped with my insurance claim.

Really hope you find it.
