Hello

We have some furniture to transport back to  Kent.  We will need a large van to do this.  Does anyone know of a company that is able to to this?  At the moment our furniture is at our apartment in Palomares. Any advice would be most helpful

Good Afternoon Chris

My wife and I run our own business called Me and Mrs Jones Transport.

We are next in Mojacar at the end if the month, returning to Folkestone on the 4th November.

We operate a Ford luton box van, which we always drive ourselves.

If we can be of any further assistance please let us know.

Kind regards

Andy and Cheryl

Hello Chris,

When would you need the van and would it be returning to Spain or staying in the UK?  The reason I ask is because we are transporting our furniture to Spain the beginning of Nov but will not be moving to a permanent address until beginning of January when we will need it again.  We will then no longer need it.

Don't know if this is of any help.

Hello Andy and Cheryl

We have some furniture which we would like to transport to Kent, about 5 chests of drawers, 3 small tables, about 5 lamps, a 4ft statue of Buddha,a sofa and a few odds and ends. Our place is in Hacienda del Marques Palomares and we live in Rochester Kent.  Your plan to return to Folkestone on 4th November might be just right. I have just had a revision hip replacement  and should be able to fly to Spain before that date.

What would you charge for transporting the furniture back to the UK and to our home address?

If it not suitable at this time when would you next be in  Mojacar?

I look forward to hearing from you

Regards

Chris Davies

Hello Mick

Thank you very much for your reply.  This is intended to be a one way trip. We bought some furniture some time ago but hadn't really thought about how to get it back to the UK.  At the moment it is stored in a bedroom at our place in Palomares.

We are not restricted to any time frame.

Regards

Hi, google one way van hire and see what comes up.

There are various one way van hire companies who have depot's in Murcia, people use them to bring their stuff from the UK and they drop the van up by the airport I think. Most are goos sized Luton vans or long wheelbase Mercedes.

Another idea might be to contact "Jimbo the Scot" who is based in Urcal and sponsors the Arboleas forums, comes well recommended and may just be going back to the UK empty before bringing stuff back here, he has a holding depot somewhere down south. Again just google jimbo the scot.

Good Evening Chris

We can offer to make this removal with no problem at all. Can I please ask what the statue of Budda is made of please just so I can get an idea of weight.

Many thanks

Glad to see you are thinking of using Andy & Cheryl. One of.our neighbours commissioned.them to bring furniture here from UK. They gave a quote but.when they arrived to collect discovered it was a much smaller load. They promptly halved the quote. Neighbour is ecstatic..Doubt.you will regularly find.this level of professionalism.

Hello Chris.

We are driving a big LDV van over on 29th Oct hoping to arrive by 1st Nov,then we are renting a snowbird villa for 2 months, and we will probably have to keep our furniture on the van for that time. However after we find somewhere more permanent [for 12 months hopefully],we will be selling the van,for not a lot of money so just a thought if you wanted to drive it yourselves back to Rochester it may work out cheaper.Just a thought.
