Hello,

My son is looking for a driving instructor. He took about 20 lessons in the UK but we've now moved to Palomares and he'd like to take a few lessons near here and then take his test. Could anyone help with some advice? We'd like to find an English speaking instructor. Thank you.

There is already a thread on this and Vazque is recommended in Garrucha. You also have to take a basic medical which is available 50m to the left as you look at the Vazques shop front. All of them are on the southern end of the seafront near a Cingurito called something like Pescaico?

They were not open last Saturday but maybe the receptionist is only there M - F?

He can do the practice theory at the shop or at home

50 euro for signing on

200 for tests (two examinations for the practical

There is a set number of hours practice needed but I am not sure how many. I was given a figure for existing drivers (UK licence)

Whatever you did in the UK will not count in Spain at present? You have to start from zero amd the test is markedly different in places.

Sorry for the bad news but better to know now and start fresh. At least your son has practical control experience, roadsigns etc and can concentrate on the differences?

Good luck!

Thank you very much! We'll check them out next week. Cheers.
