At last, after many problems, our move to Oria is going ahead this weekend. With Oria & Albox in Lockdown, where is the nearest Supermarket for me to do my shopping ?

Thanks in advance.       Vanessa

There are a few in Oria, Corviran, Natty, Carrefour Express(garage) etc.  In theory this is where you are meant to shop with the municipality however if there are items you can not get in Oria (maybe for dietry reasons) then Albox or Olula is your next port of call although if stopped by police they may not let you through.

The Guardia are stopping people going into Albox.  My plumber  was stopped yesterday and had to produce paperwork to prove he was a business before they  allowed him through.

Hello there.  If you do need special dietary foods, we asked the Policia Local in Zurgena. They said that you would need a note from your doctor, eg for sugar-free bread for diabetics etc. They also said that you must go on your own, only unless you cannot drive.  Don’t know how the police can prove that one partner does or does not drive so that you can both go.  This is Spain!!!!

Hope this helps, and WELCOME !!!

I was just watching a video on Youtube made today about a book released back in 1995 and the red tape/paperwork, unemployment and most things in fact have not changed in Spain during the last 25/30 years.  Maybe it's part of why we love the place................then again lol.
