Hi, looking information on how we register on the Spanish healthcare system, we have just picked up our TIE's and have the S1 required. Where do we start?

Currently renting in the area, but have bought a property in the Rambla.

Thanks - Keith & Helen

you need to register the S1 at the social security offices we used Hercal Overa.  You need an appointment so it's best to use a gestorer or a place like CATS in La Alfoquira,  When registered you take the paperwork to the local doctor and they will register you on the system.

Hi Alicia,

Thanks for the information, we will visit CATS for assistance with the registration process.

You don't need to pay out for CATS. We went to the local surgery and they sent us to Albox medical centre. We didn't need an appointment but that was 3 years ago. You might need one now. You will need to take your padrón with you as well as your TIE and S1.

Hi Marjorie,

Thank you for your reply, Which Medical Centre in Albox? when I google it I get a choice of three.

Thanks. Keith & Helen
