But the staff are on flights both ways! They are saying that the airlines are short of staff due to Covid, yet they don't wear masks....madness!

Its all madness, Covid rates are rising in the UK and also here, and by the end of the summer and the tourist season I wouldn't be surprised if we aren't in lockdown again, I just hope the people that have thrown caution to the wind by not wearing masks, dont start moaning.

If you want to protect yourself on a flight you should wear a FFp2 or FFp3 mask, preferably a new one  as well.  The cloth masks and the 'blue' masks give others protection from you but won't keep YOU very protected if Covid is in the air.

On a flight I was on from Malaga to Lanzarote last year, a british couple on the other side of the aisle from us had 2 G&Ts each during the flight and contrived never to empty their beakers in order (I presume) not to have to replace their masks and if challenged to use the excuse of 'still drinking' .  I felt most indignant with the stewardess for letting this pass without saying a word.  We had FFp2 masks on but a lot of elderly passangers had less protective masks and this couple were in animated conversation  throughout the flight so loads of 'aerosols' flying about! 🤧🤧😩😫

any mask will give you some protection,BUT you are right an FFP3 is the way to go especially on flights where the airline re-circulate the air to save on fuel

Its is soooooooooooooooooo frustrating when you have done all you can to protect yourself and others, and there is still an idiot that doesn't give a dam and thinks they know better. Well hopefully karma with step in. Glad you came off the flight without contracting Covid Juanida.
