Because the whole world is in the grip of a virus! Banks are not back to normal in the UK.

And whatever a red day is, I don't know.

It's a reasonable question I believe.

Banks here are open as normal.  They restrict the amount of people allowed in, but they are serving customers.

A “red” day is a public holiday, so called because apparently it was traditional to mark public holidays in red on the calendar.  Each municipality is allowed up to 14 public holidays per year.

The whole world may be in the grip of a virus, but unlike UK, Spain is actually actively taking measures to manage its spread.

Hi Andy,

Yes it is a reasonable question, and I thought I gave a reasonable answer, I couldn;t see the point of you asking it , if it wasn't a red day. Sorry if it offended you.,.

Jenni

P.S A Red day is a Bank holiday in Spain.

Thank you for your informative answer DarioMartin.  It is annoying that Spain seem to making more controlled measures than the UK but the UK imposes quarantine measures across the whole country when the hot area is in the NE.

Thank you for your apology Jenni, unfortunately emails come without emotion. 'None taken' 🙂

Hi What has been a notable increase in infections in the last few weeks Is the virus  under control in Spain and some other EU countries I think not  but one good thing is that the number of fatalities low compared with the first wave peak, it is also on the increase here in the UK but not at the same rate,we all should be aware that this virus has not gone away and be sensible but some of the TV coverage of demonstrations in some contries has me thinking this is not the case and concerns me,

Stay safe & take care
