Watching TV through Internet
Hi, advise please.
Is it best to watch TV through the internet or by satellite?
Thanks

Hi Debbie, if you want to watch by satellite you will need either a 1.9 or 2.4m dish at a cost of 600 euros upwards and if they change the orientation of the satellite again you may get nothing. Advantage is you get no buffering.
If you have a decent internet connection you should be fine with an android box. We have smart DNS proxy loaded onto ours which gives the impression you are in the country you are trying to watch programs from, cost us $49 for a 2 year subscription plus you also get a VPN with it. We also downloaded the apps for ITV hub, BBC iplayer, channel 4 (My4) and channel 5. We also get IPTV via either TVtap, swift streams or redbox tvas you can get most Sky channels and sports channels with these. For streaming films we use either showbox, TVmov now or using chrome or firefox, www.cafemovie.me which we find is best.
If you decide to opt for an IPTV subscription (which you don't really need if you use the above apps) try not to pay for a 12 month subscription because if it is rubbish you are stuck with it and won't get a refund.
Hope this helps and if you want to know anything else please private message me.
Good luck,
Paul.
Thanks for all of the information Paul.
Regards
Debbie

Can you record with this system?

You would have to have a box that had record function but if it is normal channels then you can just watch via catch up if you have the smart DNS.
