If you have anything less than a 1.9m dish, you will not get satellite TV now as signals have changed. Most people either have an android box or IPTV now.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Best wishes,

Tony.

We have an Android box for the main lounge tv, an Amazon firestick on the second new bedroom tv, as well as a 1.8 metre dish which we were advised by the guys who altered the satelite cable run for the second, new 32" inch tv would be good enough for most every tv channel going. Tv is a new Thompson from media markt at Lorca which has a receiver built in for the satellite.

Wi-fi comes from Wimax.

Hope that helps some.

I have a small dish for BBC, ITV, channel four, channel five and some sky programmes.  I have a little larger dish for my Sky programmes.  As the others have said it depends on the size of the dish, there is a gentleman in Orgarite who could tune your dish depending on were you live.

Hi

Do you know what the cost of an l.9 dish would be?

Hi Tracey, all I can tell you is from adverts in the free papers. Prices seem to range from around €650+. There has also been reports that Sky may be changing frequencies again so these dishes may become useless as well.

Sorry I can't be any more help.

Tony.

I have no experience of adjusting dishes in Spain. But you don't really need to be an expert to have a go. It is very fiddly though - the signal can be found and lost with the tiniest of movements.

Often you'll line up on other satellites first, not the one you need.

There's usually a setting on the receiver for signal strength and quality. Then take a look at someone else's set up to see where it points to. Adjust to roughly what it looks like. Then spend hours making tiny adjustments and observing the flicker on the receiver levels. Its fun when you get into it.

You can buy a cheap device that whistles when you line up with a satellite but they're not essential.

If you feel rich you can buy a self adjusting dish. They have actuators that can be used to scan the sky. But this might be getting a bit into star trek terriroty for many people.
