Just heard a couple on tv [ex uk] retired and living In spain ,saying they lose a percentage of their uk pension,,,??TRUE OR FALSE ??
It's because they had not paid in to the uk system for enough years you have to pay in for min 35 years to get a full pension

First I've heard of such a thing, I'd say John is correct as people I know on pensions here get no reductions except a slightly lesser rate due to not enough contributions during working life.
They might have meant the extras like winter heating allowance. Otherwise I can't imagine what it could be.

Could be after 31st December 2020, annual increases will not be paid. Same system as Australia now. Currently an EU agreement.

You do however pay tax on your oap pension in Spain. I don't know what the tax threshold is over here but I believe it's lower than in UK. Don't get caught like we did if you become residents. We had to pay 4 years back tax plus interest plus fines! So get a good English speaking accountant.
the couple on the tv had not worked and paid enough contributions in the UK for the full state pension. And it's correct you have to pay tax on your income here in Spain including your state pension. However, if you had been taxed in the UK on it when you should have paid the tax in Spain you can claim back the tax from the UK.
