Hello All,

My wife and I have purchased a property with a pool in lovely Oria , however I’m needing it cleaned and filled.

I’ve been sent out ( honestly) alone to do some tidying up before my wife can get out but I’m finding help with the pool a bit of a problem. Can anyone recommend pool maintenance please?

If you see me wandering around village I’m just trying to get my bearings and lay of land etc.

Thanks in advance

John S

Hi John, welcome to Oria.  I'm in the village too, lovely place.  Drop me a message if you fancy a coffee/beer one day.  There are various water (tankers) suppliers such as Sepserve etc. but may be worth seeing Marisol in the town hall and asking advice as may allow filling by tap/hose at an extra cost on your water bill.  Indalpools who have a shop in Albox are very helpful and do maintenance, Avenida Lapanto, Albox which is the road at back of Mercadona.

Hi John

We have found Indalpool very helpful too and they changed the sand although took a while to get someone out to our area. When contacting again, the owner remembered and chased it.

Before that, we had the pool totally regrouted by a good team which if you need I can get their details as they live locally.

We investigated water delivery but were told you can now fill from your own supply which for us is Galasa. You will get a recorded delivery letter about 3 weeks later advising you might have a leak but other than that there is no problem; I asked at Cats in La Alfoquia to phone and ask Galasa but they said, ‘there was no need’. You can register on their site and email but need a Spanish phone number which we haven’t sorted yet.

Good luck

Hi John

We have just moved to Oria too , like you we are looking for someone to look at our pool.Hope you settle in to the village, and make new friends which is what we hope to do although we lived in Spain before for 5 years.

Regards

Chris
