Yes. And it's not just the tax. You'll be asked for documentation you may not have. I was unable to provide the required docs for my contact lenses held by customs in Madrid. They destroyed them after a couple of weeks so I lost my money. I just wouldn't bother.

I totally agree don't even bother,.it's not worth the hassle that's even if you get your parcel.
Amazon US parcels arrive just fine with a small charge in my experience.
