Cast iron cookware

I think that you would be better buying now or on the way over if you are thinking of passing through France (Le Creusot Cast iron pans etc.). I've only seen alluminium, steel.or stainless steel here.  They do also use primed terracotta recipients and casseroles to cook in, particularly in traditional style woodfire ovens.  You have to prime them yourself when you buy them new or they may crack in the oven.   I believe priming involves soaking in water for a longish spell but not quite sure how long for.
