Hi All

Has anyone received this email?

During these months, you have been able to enjoy the advantages of easily controlling your consumption through the Iberdrola Clients App . Your trial period ends on April 15 , but you can continue enjoying all the advantages you have had so far to continue saving in your home. All this for €0.99 + VAT per month , and 4 months free from contracting. 

You got to love it. 

While it's not really that much per month, is it not a bit cheeky? 

What irks me is there seems to be no way to opt out of the app or has anyone found out how? 

I have tried calling them but thier help line was .....

NO Help. 

Now before eveyone suggests I change providers if I am not happy it turns out that for what I use they have the best deal. 

The app offers some good services but thay are also all availbe on thier website and in English (or the lanuage of your choice if you have Google translate installed on your browser).

I’m with Iberdrola - have two contracts with them - I haven’t received that email, nor a message in my message centre in the app …

Yes - definitely, I use it all the time.  On one contract I have the “Choose 8 hours” plan and I can adjust the chosen 8 hours from the app, so yes I am always using it

Nope, I've whitelisted Iberdrola - but everything they send by email they also put in the Buzón de Notificaciones on the app, and there is nothing there - only my invoices etc.

We now offer you a new service, the Iberdrola Smart Assistant, which will enable you to continue with these additional functionalities in your Iberdrola Clients App and also enjoy a Breakdown Repair Service for your kitchen appliances. Contract the Iberdrola Smart Assistant for €0.99 + VAT per month, with 4 free months of service (from contracting).

Aha!! Interesting.  I have Smart Assistant enabled ...I have just checked my bill and see I pay 1,11€ for Asistente Digital and 6,71€ for Proteccion Eléctrica del Hogar, but get a 0,56c rebate each month for Assistente Digital and 0,55c rebate for "Crg. Nr. tope precio del gas"

That would explain lack of email or notification - I have had it enabled for a couple of years.

I’ll happily pay it - 28 February 2018, something failed and shorted in the Endesa box outside the apartment block we were in then and we got 380 v straight into the house.  Took out washing machine, Telly, refrigerator, dishwasher etc.  the Protección eléctrica del hogar covered us for new Telly and other electrical equipment belonging to us that got zapped.  (Took 4 weeks to get new kitchen appliances because as normal everyone blamed everyone else Endesa said Urbanización was liable, urbanización said individual homeowners insurance was liable, our landlords insurance company said Endesa was liable and round and round it went - but Iberdrola paid us quickly)
