Repair / Service a bike

1. There is a Bike Repair shop just after the roundabout as you enter Garrucha. It's on the right hand side. I've used them and they are good. But, if specific spare parts are required be prepared for MANANA as in NEVER.

2. I recommend you do the cleaning and service yourself though. You can buy any puncture repair kits in the Chinese Shops or Lopez. You can get new tubes there too. You might get new tyres at Lopez only. 

3. Your new best friend is Tres en Uno oil, available everywhere. 

Fixing up your bike can be fun (I've just done four and sold them at a handy profit). My (definitely) working tip (to make up for my bad tip in yesterday's Grand National) for bike cleaning and removing rust along with Tres en Uno is a piece of hemp string when used right it can take the pain out of the pain (if you know what I mean!).

There is a bike shop near Antos bar bouganvillas.  Full service including replacement grips for the handle bars was around 20-25 euros.  Guy there speaks English if you struggle with Spanish.  Quick turnaround too.

At the entrance of Garrucha coming from Mojacar (2º road of the roundabout) in between the big print store and the car garage there is a little bike shop that does a great job. If he can't get a spare part, he tries to fix it as well as possible. I came there for a maintenance service and got my bike back as (almost) new.
