Can any ine explain how I replace the older style larger gas bottles i.e. without the new blue handles. I am keen to avoid the higher prices for the smaller newer type.

A gas lorry drives around the area on Mondays. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Any help appreciated..

Re: replacement old style gas bottles

If the gas man drives past your home regularly leave your empty bottle out where he can see it,  he'll stop & beep his horn.

Alternatively if you know where he stops elsewhere just turn up & he'll change it on the spot.  I often flag him down in town if I have my empty with me,  they don't seem to mind.

Otherwise there are still lots of what I call 'little Spanish old lady grocery shops' dotted around where they still exchange the old bottles.

Some garden centres have them too, keep your eyes open you'll find somewhere.

Hi,

Are we talking Repsol or Butane. In Mojacar when we wanted to change bottles we went to the Service station on the hill, presented our bottle and pointed out what we wanted. If it was acceptable to the attendant then you received your choice.

If you have a Contract with either then you may need to get it ammended.

BEST WISHES,

Thank you for this information, we hear the gas man beeping his horn and will go and find him.

Thanks for your reply. I'll give it a try to flag him down and keep an eye open at garden centres.

Thanks
