Northern soul night

About 3 years ago, my wife and I met a chap who had come to Mojacar particularly for the Northern Soul event.

From memory, I think he said it was at the Hotel Continental on the beach side of the Playa, north of Parque Commercial.

I hope this bit of info is correct. I seem to remember that Northern Soul was a regular Friday night / Saturday thrash in

the town of Wigan, Lancashire,  not far from where I live.  Cheers, Ray.

I’ve not seen anything advertised. With it being The main summer months now there are more Cultural Events taking place. I’ve only been here nearly 2 years but I have never seen a Northern Soul Night advertised at any venues in Mojácar.

My first visit to Mojacar was in 1989, so this will be my 25th visit. My second trip

was by road in February 1992, Plymouth to Santander, the snow, to the south of

Santander was horrendous, up to 4 metres deep in some places, but thanks to

the local authorities, we were not held up too long. They were equipped with

snowploughs, JCB Diggers, and big tipper lorries. Well done chaps.  Ray.

Thank you Sandra58, I dont visit Mojacar for dancing, I am there to meet my long time friends

who live there, they are from various countries. I visit my favourite bars and restaurants, do a

lot of walking, and nip up to the Pueblo several times on Autocares Rodrigues, the yellow bus.
