We are holiday home owners, so not here all the time, but my husband would love the opportunity to discuss and practice his evolving Duolingo Spanish skills.

I see there was a group that met in Garrucha and don't know if they're still going or if there are any other local groups that people can dip in and out of?

Anyone doing Duolingo and not getting the doubles they tell you you will get if you claim their night owl chest?

I don't know P, I only know that when we're about to go out, the familiar Duolingo pings will be going and I have to wait as it's on a timer with double points or something.

As it's all in the internet ether, I cannot fathom why it's of such significance!

Just remember that Duolingo is South American Spanish. Not proper Spanish. Duo uses carro for car, in Spanish it is coche.

We sort of knew that Ian but it's a very helpful reminder of the issues this can create and also explains why our translation apps sometimes suggest different words to the ones Duolingo wants!
