Hi all, does anybody know what’s happening to Mr Pollos? I understand from a friend that regularly visits Mojacar that it has been closed for sometime.
Does anyone know if it will reopen again, or did it have to close during the COVID pandemic, and as such revenue that was lost, has made it impossible for the business to survive. We will miss Mr Pollo if it has closed for good, as we have used it for many years on our visits, the food was always excellent.

Hi. We moved here 3 years ago and there was no Mr Pollo then. In fact, I don't recall seeing a Mr Pollo in the several years before that we were holidaying in Mojacar. Where was the restaurant?

Hi it wasnt a restaurant but a 'take away' food place near the vets.fantastic food and a great variety and the freshly baked bread was yummy,in the summer it was always open,but sadly for me not so much in the winter.if it has gone it will be a sad loss for the playa

Hi TY for your reply, I’m sorry I should have said Mr Pollo was I would describe it as a super type deli, where you could purchase a huge variety of great food, it was fully prepared, and cooked. You could have It reheated on site, if you were wanting to take it away ready to eat. Or you could reheat at home when ready to eat the same day, following full instructions that you were given. All foods were kept in fully regulated chill cabinets, it was so easy ,when on holiday to have a delicious home made meal without the hassle of actually cooking it. If you were travelling towards the centre,Mr Pollo was situated in the small parade of shops on the left, just past the large warehouse type building where you were able to purchase almost anything that you required. It will be a great miss, as we used Mr Pollo for so many years, and got to know the staff well, always friendly, and the standard of hygiene was excellent.

Supper Pollo next to the vets and Restaurante Ed trellis de Mar was not open at all last year and I don't recall seeing any sign of life this year although it is flagged as temporarily closed...

Will somebody just post the truth on here. Last November when we visited there was a "Se Vende" sign on the Mr Pollo premises. That sign is still there. It's for sale repeat It's for sale. Mr Pollo as most of us knew it has ceased to exist.

Thank you to all who have replied to my message. It is a great shame to hear that the property is up for sale. Mr Pollo will be a great loss to the area, we ourselves have enjoyed the food for many years.

Merdadona now do a varied amount of take away foods or eat on the site with a microwave to heat it up or in Garrucha now there is a pizza machine hot or cold within 3 mins open 24 hrs day and night just up from Le Flores if you are peckish.
