I hear Denmark, Slovakia, Poland are closing their boarders and allowing in only nationals of that country.

I have been advised that Mr Trump has hinted in his live speech an hour ago that he may ban flights to the USA from the UK.

. . . . . and still no reaction from Mr Johnson.

I think I’ll.take advice from this man long before I would from yourself Mathew.

Really chaps  after nearly four years of this stuff, it's clear the divisions between us are cast in concrete.

Nobody on any side is going to change their minds about Johnston, Brexit, Trump and fake news.. and so forth.

The real question is how do we find a way to go forward with out further tearing ourselves apart.

We have almost become immune to living at the rioting stage level we have been  at for some time .

The current crisis is an opportunity to explore ways to work together.

Don't get me wrong  I'm as big a fool as anyone  and quick to lash out..

Maybe this our and the virus  are the leading us inevitable into war .  Maybe we as a population, are incapable of  changing..   Bill

Hi Bill, You are equating what happened in the Brexit theatre with Mr Johnson's approach to Covid-19. I don't have a vote in the UK and what interest I have in the UK is confined to 2 or 3 visits per year. I couldn't care a whit about the divisions in UK politics provided I am not affected. Politics are divisive at most times (it's called democracy).

But, Mr Johnson's ways of dealing with Covid-19 are nothing short of criminal. I don't care if he was flanked by the Medical brains of the entire Commonwealth as he gave his instructions. He is causing the virus to spread so much so that many businesses in the UK are going it their way because of the obvious threats. Mr Johnson is irresponsible regarding Covid-19 and because of his inaction there will be more deaths there.

Mr Johnson's leadership is short of the mark. He is Dr Death by another name.

It’s called democracy Andy.  He’s entitled to his view, he’s entitled to his opinion and he has the freedom to express that view.  You remember “democracy” don’t you?

On a note more inline with the topic, the government of Spain has announced that ALL shops / bars / restaurants / gymnasiums etc other than supermarkets and pharmacies are to close, people are to stay in their homes for 15 days, leaving only to visit supermarket or pharmacy.

For those thinking that they will ignore the quarantine and do what they want; police will be patrolling and enforcing the quarantine.  I’ve just seen a van full of CNP Drive into Vera .... I took note because we just do not get CNP in these parts.

Hi Andy,

Normally, I don't reply to your posts. But, I don't remember anybody here informing you that you were not entitled to your opinion.

You do actually "care" about all the divisions between humans.  You are very concerned about so much.

This gives me so much hope for you!

The trick is to bring people with you, not drive then away.

Nobody is going to change their minds about Johnston ( any everything else going on) .. either-way.   He, for example,  could work with out respite in the worst slums for 20 years , save the planet , rebuild the empire.. and still he will be despised by half the world.

You care about so much.. let everyone see that .. and get them on side.

It's so hard to do that..but you have the skills

Peace Brother.... Bill

Hi Dario, why did Spain call a lockdown, but allow Madrid residents, main centre of infection, to travel to outlying areas. Now I would agree with Mathew if he supports my view.

From what I understand, they haven’t allowed it - it’s a few pig-headed Madrileños believing the lockdown doesn’t apply to them and the quarantine is an excuse for a two week holiday in their holiday homes down here.  The lockdown is nationwide

EDIT:  It only comes into effect today -Saturday
