No... just being put-up in return for work or some kind of help out? But I don't need luck.... or sarcasm?

I lived on Mojacar for 9 months few years ago and included volunteering for Paws charity etc...So trust me I know the situation there when it comes to getting Spanish trades people in and some of the retired couples might simply find some jobs a bit too heavy or too much.

Also I know how expensive it can be getting stuff back or from UK. So also considering steady drive down and back maybe etc etc.....

Just kicking the tyres really. There might just be a couple sitting there and struggling to get their property up to scratch financially or physically and an extra pair of hands for few weeks might be just what they need?

So not really interested in a sterile hotel room or just sitting on a beach, I like to help people and socialise mostly. But not needing a job or in need of money or free holiday personally?

Equally not going to pay return flights and work for a month ish to just be utilised as someones cheap free labour and pay for that privileged.

But thought a bed and few meals in return for modest amount of graft that might help some ex-pat get their heavy jobs or jobs they are too busy or unable to do. Or cant make the long drive down and back from the UK  was...is ....a fair deal!

Equally I didn't want any local Ex-pat trades people being done out of any local income or work (its difficult enough for small trades folk out there...So I kept it to some simple DIY or Gardening/Driving  type of offer.

I used to employee 178 people on the books at my peak in the UK, Consultant for Police and military world wide, and some Humanitarian work world wide,  so I'm not short on Job offers, or business skills.....

I'm semi retired and my wife's away, Kids grown up and I miss Mojacar so thought why not?

Anyone reading this, if that appeals drop me a line.

Good for you - that is the point of communicating.  Often opportunities or potential offers exist that no one knows  about and then later, too late - 'oh if only I had known, it would have been perfect'.  I found just the help I needed when I appealed here (thank you !) So good luck, and long may this forum exist for the chance of putting a square peg into a square hole...

Stuart, there is no need for sarcasm on this forum, if you have nothing positive to say, say nothing 😎

I thank you very much Susi for agreeing.  Why, I beg the question,  dies someone who used to employ 178 people, and.... "is not short of job offers" , want to scrounge free flights, food and accommodation I wonder!! I rest my case your honour.....🧐

Ok sorry thought you could read... I said I wasn't really looking/expecting flights or any work but the was just kicking the tyres. Thought maybe I could help someone out rather than just crash at a hotel....SIMPLE!

Sadly a lot of these forums are full of armchair abusers and lost souls. Yawn.

I should just have contacted a few friends there direct instead, to ask around the expats that might need some help and avoided forums. (For others looking in...I would have supplied references and I hold an advanced current C.R.B. check to anyone thinking of taking my offer )...BUT... I actually now have changed my destination. I'm driving for a charity in Greece for a few weeks, for free and as per norm they provide accommodation and food. Its the sort of thing a lot of decent people and students do regularly.

If you like volunteering to help others for free I can hook you up? Beats scrabbling around on forums hoping to abuse or impose sarcasm when you feel like drawing attention to your self.

Have great evening both of you.

Well said Jim22Anna, every forum has its share of muppets.  I’m glad to say on this particular forum they are in the minority, unlike FB. Best of luck with your venture, I knew exactly what you meant, and if I had a need for your services I would certainly have used you. Take care 🤗
