We have rented a furnished property in Turre and moving from Cornwall by car in November. Need advice how to get personal belongings/clothes/tv/kettle/bedding/etc. Car not big enough. All advice apprecuated.

Well you could buy a second hand caravan and fill it up with stuff if you don't want to change your car for a large van. You might be able to sell the caravan for a decent price when you get here to someone moving back to the UK. It is possible to import a British caravan if you have the original papers/prospectus which would make it even more saleable and guarantee you a good price. There is a good market for caravans over here.

So the caravan thing is great if you have a car with a towbar, don't forget the weight of things in the van and what the car is allowed to pull, plus the additional cost for ferry. The Van thing is soooo obvious but clearly not desirable for everyone. There are other ways, such as road freight, sharing a van/truck cargo space, 'groupage' Or even sending a pallet. which is fairly cheap. You can get a quote below. I am not affiliated with the company at all but was in a similar position and it worked a treat...
