Hi all, we are looking to buy a holiday home and have lots of electrical goods at home, that we were thinking of bringing over, along with our furniture. Is this feasible, or do we just buy TVs, lamps etc when we get there. They just seemed to be really expensive, and as we have 2  of everything at home, thought it would be easier and cheaper, as we have to fully furnish the house inside and out!

I know it sounds naive and silly but do we just change the plugs??

Thanks in advance for any advice

Liz

Assuming you are coming from the UK then yes you can just change the plugs or, as we do in our holiday home, have quite a lot of UK-to-Spanish adapters around the house. We bought them from Amazon.

Thank you so much Rob, it just seemed such a waste as we used to have a property that we rented out in the UK, so we have double of everything!

Hi, as Rob says & yes we.purchased our adapters on Amazon as well. Cheaper & better quality than here.

If you are from the south of England can recommend a super removal firm from Folkestone.

Best Wishes,

Thank you Dr Bob,

Trying to arrange everything beforehand is a nightmare, as we are not moving full time as yet. So thinking I might put our furniture in storage with the removal people in Spain, as we have to paint the whole house inside first!

Then when we are ready for it, it’s already there, can’t think of anything better to do really 🤔

Thanks again

Liz

HI

Actually we did the same back in 2003. Then things were delayed, the storage facility flooded, although they denied liability, & we ended up with a huge bill. Still it was Cowboy Country out here in the early 2000s.

So is it Location Warehousing of Antas?

Know of them & they seem to get good write-ups. Know some of the staff. Can't say more!!!!!!!

Hope it all goes well & just check on Insurance.

Best Wishes

Bob and Sandra

Kindest regards

I can thoroughly recommend Location Warehousing at  Antas. Katrina was excellent. They had our furniture stored in the UK and over here until we were ready for delivery.
