Hi Sally. If your stay coincides with a Monday or Friday why not come along to Mojacar Sports Centre and join in my Yoga  class there at 11.00. The first class is complimentary and you can get to meet my lovely, friendly Yoginis, most of whom live here full time and who are all very knowledgeable about life here. Hope to see you coming along to get bendy with Sue Lewis Yoga.

Mojacar is a great place to live.Yes it is very busy for 8 weeks of the year when the Spanish take there holidays here. For the rest of the time the town is pretty much peopled by ex-pats.The idea of a rural idyll does appeal to some people but the beauty of living here is the number of new friends we have made since we came here 4 years ago.Remember driving on a country track to the nearest shop will seem fantastic for a while but can be tedious after a few months. The town can seem quiet in the winter but talk to the locals and they will soon point you were music nights, quizzes, keep fit, sport are taking place.Maybe renting somewhere initially might be an option you would consider.Hope this helps

Why Mojacar and not an area more inland ?

Partner bought a two plot sized villa in a lovely village just 40 minutes from the coast and beaches, 7 minutes from the motorway and 12 minutes from Huercal Overa, the nearest town. with a great pool, sun terrace she's been using the past couple of days, yes it's still early March, !...

...

Mojacar in the summer months gets crowded very crowded as others like Colonel Doctor Bobl will attest as he has a place there, car parking is a bit of a nightmare even now,

Ok there's restaurants everywhere you can turn, food is cheap, you'll find menu's with 12 sometimes 15 starters, mains and desserts for between €12 - €15 euros, good wine from €3 up, cant say about the nightlife but from what you'll see and read it's good.

There are rental places inland, look up Voss agents here in Huercal Overa, friends who are moving out in April are having viewings of their 3 bed 2 bath villa with pool now even tho theyre still packing up lol.

We/I reckon that if you cant chill out in a place like ours then youre somewhat beyond all help lol, we love it here. But, choice is personal, bottom line is what youre looking for. Good luck finding it.

Hi there was reading your reply and wondered if I could ask you a few questions. My husband and I are thinking on a permanent move, however coming over for 7 months and intend looking about at suitable areas. I was thinking inland, though not remote as I feel we would get something more suitable and in our budget. Could you recommend some nice areas I should consider. Thank you
