Hi

My husband and I are just buying a property in Mojacar, as a second home, somewhere we intend to spend quite a lot of our time. We are due to get the keys late June and I was wondering if anyone can give advice on us sorting out Satellite TV and broadband as well as places to purchase all things a home needs.

Hi Jack,

I used DCM on Mojacar Playa near the Irish Rover bar for my TV and broadband. Run by English people for a long number of years and I have found them to be very reliable. Got my A/C and solar water heater also from them. TV by satellite is also available but I went the Internet TV Route also through DCM and so far it is excellent though the internet can be slightly dodgy. If you put in a landline then telitec affer good deals also.

Hope this helps. I'm just back in Ireland myself after 2 weeks over.

Regards

Noel

I bought in Mojácar 2 years ago. The estate agent told me that I needed gas certification. I paid so much for so little work that I am sure the estate agent got a kickback! You can trust a good lawyer ( I can recomend one if you wish ).

First of allget a good lawyer. Taxes are pretty high here sobe prepared tobuy cheap property but a whack of tax on top especiallyfor legal expenses.Take your time in choosing the right estate agent to help you unless you are buying directly from owner.

We used Angela Morales for our solicitor, totally honest and trustworthy.I wouldn't advise living inland as far as Arboleas,as they get frosts in winter, have a lot of problems with water being cut off,and generally seem to have a few problems out that way. We are in Antas, close to beaches and A7,fab location if you don't want all the holiday makers and traffic holdup in Mojacar!
