Aren't you in line for the uk pension ?

Thats a but personal and not answering the question John. I would also be interested in 'private health insurance' so will keep an eye on this post.

The only reason I ask is if you are pension age you can get S1 which you can gett on the health system for free and you don't require to seak private health care, I was not prying into your private life

ASSSA is a popular health insurance company, we are with them, they have an office in Vera (they speak English) or you can go through Maxine Morgan (in Burganvillas). There is also Bryan White in Mojacar, 

There are other companies like DKV, ASISA, Sanitas.

The thing to look for with the various health insurance companies is where their associated medical practises are located.

Before I answer your question, I just would like to mention that the private health insurance companies will exclude any pre-existing conditions or charge you a premium to cover the condition.

As to what you can expect to pay is a difficult one to answer. The price you pay is based on your age and the type of coverage you choose.

I don't know why you need private health insurance if your age is 67 I would have thought you would be entitled to be covered by the uk health system via the S1 

I may look 67 and sometimes feel it on cold winter mornings, but I am looking to retire early, hence the need for private medical insurance, Stewert.

I am not 67, I am under 60 years of age. 

That aside, anyone is free to choose to have both if they want.

The major benefit of private health insurance is that you can have your medical issues seen to a lot faster than through the state medical system exactly like it is in the UK.
