Hi

There will be some restaurants/bars open but I doubt it will be particularly busy. Probably a greater choice of restaurants and busier on the Playa. Usually by now quite a few places are booked up for Christmas and New Years meals and events but many places are waiting to see if any further covid restrictions are put in place before finalising plans.  The weather 'should' be gloriously sunny in the day time and even quite warm out of the wind - if you are brave, you could join in the New Year's Day swim at the south end of the beach!  However, you will need warm clothing for the evenings as it gets decidedly chilly by late December!

Thank you for the reply, we are only going for 1 night on the 30th so wanted to book a restaurant for that night, we will be returning back to costa Blanca on 31st.

Maybe you'd be best to book a table at the Parador, Mojacar Playa.  Some restaurants may be closed by then.
