Can anyone recommend an interpreter for the hospital at Huercal Overa? I have had limited medical advice for my 12 Yr old daughter who is in agony with a suspected double ear infection. I’ve attended the Consultario in Mojacar but the analgaesia prescribed seems wholly inadequate- planning a trip to HO tomorrow in the hope of help or I’m booking flights home. I believe an interpreter will be required

I used Sharon last week when my husband was taken by ambulance to HO hospital. She was excellent.

just in case you’ve decided not to go to hospital, please don’t book flights home without having your daughter’s ears checked by a medical professional. It’s very dangerous (and extremely painful!) to fly with an ear infection where the ear drum hasn’t already perforated.

Thanks Sarah. She has finally started to improve so we have decided against the hospital. Hopefully she will be ok when we return in 6 days time.

there is a private medical centre in Vera Playa that advertise a Children's doctor service and speak English not sure of costs.  they are behind Consum on the corner.

Good news, hopefully she's over the worst of it. Ear infections can be so painful can't they. My son had similar issues a few years ago, because the ear drum had already perforated they said he was OK to fly,
